On Dec 7th, 2010 we all put our best efforts forward and came together to celebrate the lighting of 125th Street. The celebration was not only about the lighting of the street but about three major sections of Harlem and its leaders coming together to do something positive for the community . This year's effort represents a new era of Cooperation and Achievement.
This year the 125th Street BID, Chairs of Community Boards 9,10 & 11, The Riverside Park Fund and the Office of General Services joined forces to host this special holiday event.
Attendees who arrived early were welcomed by the sounds of christmas carols projecting from the State Office Building's plaza.
Around 6pm a larger crowd began to gather at the Adam Clayton Powell State Building Plaza.
